Hokie Homecoming at Virginia Tech

Virginia Tech students, families and alumni gather at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg for Hokie Homecoming on Saturday Sept. 24, 2016.

The Highty-Tighty alumni (Tech's Core Cadet band) gather on the mall at Virginia Tech to prepare to march to the stadium before the big game. While they wait they catch up with old friends.

The Morrells pose for a picture in front of the chapel where they were just married in July.

Father Darrel explains the importance of Hokie football to his son who hopes to attend Tech one day as they wait for the game to start.
Family members watch from the alumni section as their loved ones in the Highty-Tighties march onto the field to open the homecoming game.

A former Highty-Tightey watches his son perform.

The crowd gets excited and claps to the familiar tune of "Enter Sandman" a Hokie tradition where the crowd shakes the stadium as they clap and jump to welcome their home team into the stadium.
